Walter Haslinger founded HASLINGER STEEL CONSTRUCTION as a locksmith’s shop in Feldkirchen/Carinthia in 1949. Today the company, which now has Hutter & Schrantz Stahlbau AG as majority shareholder, is one of the most efficient steel construction companies in Europe. The main production focuses are steel halls and steel structural engineering, bridge building, industrial plants, as well as steel constructions for heavy-duty machines. Approx. 30,000 tons of steel – and the trend is on the up – with unit weights of up to 35 tons are processed annually.
HASLINGER STEEL CONSTRUCTION is the major inland producer in Austria and, contrary to its rival companies, primarily relies on the ability of the domestic workforce. At four locations in Austria, Germany and Hungary HASLINGER STEEL CONSTRUCTION employs a workforce of approx. 400.
The company trains steel construction experts in its own apprentice workshops. At any one time approx. 30 young people can be found in training who, after completing their apprenticeship, will make a considerable contribution to the company’s economic success.
