On the military airfield of Wunstorf in the German federal state of Lower Saxony, HASLINGER STAHLBAU, as a partial general contractor, implemented a maintenance hangar for the Public Construction Management Department of Osnabrück-Emsland.
The services rendered by HASLINGER STAHLBAU included the manufacture, supply and assembly of the steel construction, as well as the complete covering, consisting of roof, wall, light strips and fire-prevention coating. A particular challenge was the load-bearing structure, consisting of trusses with a span width of 57 m and a height of 3,6 m, as well as door openings of 17,5 m in height and 55 m in length. HASLINGER STAHLBAU developed sophisticated solutions in terms of structural and civil engineering to implement the planned construction in accordance with the wishes and expectations of the client.
