The footbrigde was constructed on the instructions of Fides Immobilien GmbH in the Lachtal skiing and hiking paradise in Styria. It serves as a direct connection between a comfortable apartment complex with a restaurant and the lifts in the ski region.
The bridge was manufactured as a steel latticework construction with a galvanized finish. Gratings were used for the bridge flooring, and the side fall protection consists of stainless steel railing elements in-filled with stainless steel netting.
The extremely slender steel supporting structure with a width of only 2m freely spans over 52 m to the central support. Vibration absorbers dimensioned specially for the supporting structure steady the vibrations which occur due to the narrowness of the bridge and ensure that pedestrians feel safe when crossing the supportig structure.
