Schärding Station Girders in Concrete

Project description

As part of the extension of the heavy-duty stretch between Wels and Passau, a conversion of Schärding station was envisaged.

The new platform routing and the design of the load-bearing structure to new load standards required a reconstruction of the underpasses and passages in this section of the line. After taking down the original load-bearing structure and widening and amending the structure below, the girders in concrete were erected at a higher position at the sides and pushed in during temporary platform closures - cross traverse.
