Germany | Stuttgart
On the largest building site in Germany at the time - the new exhibition centre in Stuttgart - HASLINGER STAHLBAU again distinguished itself as a specialist for large-scale construction.
At start of construction in September 2004, on behalf of the Neue Messe GmbH & Co KG project company, HASLINGER STAHLBAU erected the multi-storey hall on the exhibition grounds at Stuttgart Airport. It has a gross exhibition surface of 25,000 m² at its disposal, of which approximately 5,000 m² are on a gallery. The curved suspended roof is reminiscent of a circus tent. This effect was achieved by two mirror-imaged halls being joined together. The freely overspanned surface amounts to 14,500 m². The construction weight of the main load-bearing structures alone amounts to 2,000 t.
