The new arena in the German capital.
A new leisure and entertainment district was built in Berlin. The centre and focal point of this neighbourhood is the O2 World, a multifunctional venue for sports, concerts and a variety of other events. This is, for example, where the Berlin ice hockey teams play their home games.
A major challenge in terms of steel construction were the two main trusses with an 80 m span and respective heights of 10 and 15 metres.
The name of the arena has been changed, and it is now called the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
