Austria | St. Johann im Pongau
HASLINGER STAHLBAU was commissioned by Amari Austria GmbH to plan, manufacture and assemble the roof construction including supports and stairway for a new production hall in St. Johann in Pongau. The unsupported roof construction is approximately 4,200 m² in size and is stabilised by means of three spatial frameworks which form a T-shape on the ground plan. These frameworks are up to 5.6 m high, with a span of between 36 m and 48 m. The construction is completed by truss girders 36 metres in length, on the underside of which the crane equipment required is suspended.
A particular challenge was posed by the assembly of the spatial frameworks spanning over 88 m and by connecting the existing hall to the new structure. The supports in the existing hall were removed, allowing the creation of a continuous column-free production area of around 5,800 m².
As well as the structural engineering, HASLINGER STAHLBAU was also responsible for around 6,700 m2 of R90 fire-resistant coating.
