Project description

Audi AG constructed a process building with railway loading and parking levels in a steel-braced construction at its site in Ingolstadt. In July 2011, HASLINGER STAHLBAU was commissioned with the construction of the load-bearing structure.

The services of HASLINGER STAHLBAU included the manufacture, delivery and assembly of the steel structure, as well as the execution of the encased concrete and the concrete casing of the columns. The fire-resistant paint applied on site was also part of the order placed with HASLINGER STAHLBAU.

Due to the short lead time for planning, procurement of materials and pre-manufacture, as well as the logistical coordination with galvanising, the concrete factory and the limited space available on site, the individual parts had to be made and supplied in the exact order of assembly. Approximately 350 articulated lorries were required for the deliveries.
