On the instructions of the municipality of Amstetten, the parking deck on Amstetten hospital was extended by one parking level , thus creating an additional 94 spaces. At the same time the top parking level was roofed over, which in future will save a large part of the costs of winter maintenance.

HASLINGER STAHLBAU supplied and assembled the entire steel structure with a galvanized finish, the floor elements for the parking deck in the “Hoesch Additive Floor” system, and the securing of the edges with an impact protector made of galvanized metal grating.

Due to their low weight, steel constructions are extremely suitable for extending existing buildings. The existing foundations can very often absorb the additional loads without additional reinforcement.
