Project description

KELAG Energie & Wärme GmbH, one of Austria’s leading heat suppliers, commissioned HASLINGER STAHLBAU with the construction of the biggest biomass power plant in the Carinthian city of Villach. With this plant, KELAG Energie & Wärme GmbH set new standards in municipal energy supply.

The scope of work included the load-bearing steel structure, the production of the roofing and the wall cladding. Wooden slats were used as façade elements in order to break up the purely functional character of the building.
