As part of the "Vienna Main Station" project, the old Vienna South Station - a terminus station in the 10th district of Vienna - was replaced with a new through-station. An island platform was built for the "motorail" train-system.
HASLINGER erected the 326m long platform roofs including the roof covering and the aluminium composite board soffit cladding, the signage and the support elements made of stainless steel and glass. Furthermore, the scope of services included the building of the flying roof on the forecourt, the staircase and access area, as well as the roof and wall cladding of the staff and technical building and the transformer stations in the area of the rail equipment.
The roofs supplied by HASLINGER form a fully-covered and comfortable overall system of a proven lightweight steel construction type.
