The elevated helicopter landing pad, which is of a high visual and functional standard and offers a high level of safety and flexibility is primarily used to shorten the rescue chain and therefore provide patient care faster.
The supporting structure was made from steel and the landing area from aluminium. It was assembled without interrupting normal operations. Due to the location of the new helipad the steel parts were lifted into position using a large crane and assembled on a working platform using a second crane.
All additional work was carried out on the prefabricated components, which had almost zero tolerance without any problems. This is proof of well-functioning prefabrication and quality assurance. Because HASLINGER STAHLBAU combines all areas such as planning, construction and assembly under one roof, a smooth, flexible process is guaranteed.
