Once every generation, Switzerland takes on the challenge of hosting a national exposition.
The Expo 2000 was held in "3-Seen-Land", a region with three lakes. The event venue was built in a mere 11 months, and the entire building had to be dismantled again after the exhibition. Both the assembly and the disassembly were done by means of pontoons and a floating crane from the water.
