The impetus for the construction of the Bunyodkor Stadium was Uzbekistan's application to enter the U-20 FIFA Women's World Cup in 2012. The football arena is part of the 56-hectare Bunyodkor sports complex, owned by the Bunyodkor football club in Tashkent.
On behalf of Oberhofer Stahlbau / Saalfelden HASLINGER STAHLBAU was responsible for developing the connection details, the planning of the plant and assembly, and the manufacture, including the primer coating. The construction site was approximately 5,600 km away from the HASLINGER works, which made it all the more important to produce all the components exactly, comply with the tolerances as precisely as possible and pay great attention to the final inspection in the workshop. These requirements were implemented in perfect quality, enabling the entire steel construction to be assembled on the construction site in Tashkent with no adjustment work.
