Hockey Hall Ferlach

In future, in Ferlach (Carinthia) not only will high-quality hunting rifles be manufactured, but in this town famed for its gunsmithing it will also be possible to play ice sports all year round. Carinthia’s first all-year-round ice hall commenced operations in 2021, including a sports hotel.

Starting with the concept development for the supporting structure, HASLINGER STAHLBAU was commissioned to undertake the pre-structural calculations, the planning, construction, supply and assembly of the ice sports hall together with its “Hockey Bar”. The supporting structure was executed using curved truss girders with a centre distance of 5 m and a free span of 33.5 m. A roof support shell made of trapezoid profiles was installed on top of the truss girders.

The assembly was completed in a very short time thanks to the optimal planning.
