Project description

Klagenfurt Sport Union erected a new 4-court tennis hall in 2011/2012.

HASLINGER STAHLBAU proved themselves with an overall solution made of steel. The load-bearing construction is implemented as a two-joint arch with an axis distance of 8 m with a free span of 38 m. A clam-shell, thermally-insulated roof made of trapezoidal cross sections and an arch-shaped outer shell was mounted onto a steel roof beam base.

The wall cladding consists of insulated steel panels and is also enhanced on the outer side with a curtain-type facade. Dazzle-free lighting of the courts is achieved with roof-mounted strip lighting above the tennis courts and daylight.
