Austria| Graz - Klagenfurt
This arch bridge is at the core of the Koralmbahn railway construction project in the Lavanttal valley section. It was one of the first construction projects to be planned, designed, and built on the basis of the new Eurocode.
The entire bridge was test-assembled in the production plant to reduce the assembly time on site to a minimum. All site joints were welded. Precise assembly was required to keep the welding gap as small as possible.
The complex structure required close cooperation between the structural designers and the executing company.
