Project description

The new structure is located on the ÖBB Neumarkt-Braunau route and crosses the Mühlheim river at 46,789 rail km.

The new structure, including the spherical bearings to the left of the track, was built next to the existing one and shifted across into the railway axis during a track closure. The bridge was designed as a single-span composite framework bridge with two steel structures and a loosely reinforced, elevated carriageway slab. The support span of the structure is approx. 45 m.

HASLINGER STAHLBAU built this bridge as four major parts. These were transported to the location of assembly by means of special transport and then installed and assembled precisely using large cranes.
