Project description

The BMW factory in Dingolfing was modernised and extended on a grand scale from 2010 to 2015. In doing so, some buildings were erected from scratch. HASLINGER STAHLBAU gained the contracts for some projects, winning against many competitors.

Building 34.0 was extended by the new construction of buildings 34.0 and 34.1. This extension, with an overall tonnage of 13,000 tons, constitutes the largest project from a steel construction point of view.

The centre-to-centre grid was prescribed as 25.0 x 18.75 m. The execution of the roof construction with a primary and secondary load-bearing frame was prescribed by the planners. The profile statics was provided by customers. From the detailed structural engineering, to the complete creation of the workshop drawings, the manufacturing, the coating, the transport through to the final assembly of the steel structure, both projects were implemented to the complete satisfaction of the client due to the excellent interaction of individual areas.
