HASLINGER STAHLBAU realised a roof construction for a global technology group at its new semiconductor factory. In the near future, semiconductor boards will be manufactured in this hall for major automotive groups among others.
The structure, which weighs around 2,200 t, consists of 14 huge trusses with a length of around 95 m, a height of approximately 9 m and a mass of around 70 t per truss. The trusses were lifted as individual pieces onto the concrete roof at a height of 10 m, and pre-assembled and lifted by means of two 100-ton mobile cranes. A low-outgassing clean-room coating which is necessary in the chip industry was applied to the whole of the steel structure.
HASLINGER STAHLBAU was able to master this extensive construction project within six months during the cold winter months of 2019/2020.
