LOC Holz GmbH built a new facility for the production of cross laminated timber in Arbing, Upper Austria.
The steel trusses, which have a central assembly joint, span a width of 40 m without supports. As no supporting columns are required, optimum use can be made of the hall space. The trusses were prefabricated at the HASLINGER STAHLBAU factory and delivered to the construction site by special transports. After pre-assembly at the construction site, the components were lifted into place with mobile cranes.
The short construction time of a mere four months was made possible by the high degree of prefabrication, just-in-time deliveries and the flexible assembly with mobile cranes.
