Project description

HASLINGER STAHLBAU carried out extensive work as part of the BETA 3 project on the premises of voestalpine Stahl GmbH in Linz.

We realised a completely new pickling hall, including the associated crane runway girders. A new coil storage hall was also built. It extends the existing infeed hall. In this infeed hall, the crane runway girders were replaced with new, stronger ones in order to meet the higher crane capacities.

Our services included the manufacture, delivery and assembly of all the necessary components as well as carrying out the necessary adaptation work. The main challenge was the location of the construction site in the centre of the factory premises, surrounded by existing buildings, and the extremely limited space available. The logistics were planned precisely so that all components could be delivered “just in time”. Thanks to our careful process planning and expertise, the project was successfully completed.
