Project description

The check-in hall in the new Terminal 3 is the impressive highlight of one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe.

As access was difficult, an assembly platform (MoHiKo) had to be set up for the assembly of the roof structure (DTW). The entire steel construction was assembled on this platform and pulled into its final position in five segments over a distance of 200 m in a west-east direction. The grating in the supporting structure as well as the trapezoidal sheet metal including emergency sealing were also mounted on this platform. The extremely pressure-sensitive steel substructure of the glass façade had to be manufactured with very tight tolerances and maximum precision.

HASLINGER STAHLBAU handled all these challenges with perfect efficiency.
