Austria | Krems
The ÖBB car park built as a prefabricated concrete construction in 1991 spans the platforms of Krems railway station and was fitted with a full canopy roof at a later date.
For static reasons, only an efficient roof construction with a low weight - i.e. a steel construction could be used. HASLINGER STAHLBAU set itself the challenge of developing a sophisticated assembly concept and was able to execute the project on time while rail services continued.
Scaffolding designed spceifically for the project, which was put up on the existing building above the overhead lines with the help of industrial climbers, enabled the roof structure to be assembled safely.
