Project description

Seefeld railway station, the highest ICE railway station in the world, was transformed into a modern, sophisticated transport hub, in good time before the Alpine Ski World Cup.

HASLINGER STAHLBAU supplied and assembled three large roof structures to enhance the new railway station. Each of the support structures of the three roofs consists of a diamond-shaped roof support grid made of steel box girder profiles that were welded airtight and tapered to the edge of the roof. To guarantee assembly within the predefined time frame (line closures), the large parts, with dimensions of up to 20.2m x 5.6m x 1.73m and weights of up to 30 tons, were prefabricated in the plant where possible.
